What the Client Wanted

  • An application rewrite; the existing application had significant performance problems due to using inefficient technology to build the application’s screens
  • HTML pages needed to be rewritten in .NET

Challenges

While rewriting the application to use more current technology would address the business problem by improving the speed of the application, it would not generate a return on investment.

  • Provided an Engagement Lead, an on-shore resource to work with the client to understand the application, develop the specifications for the rewrite and ultimately assume responsibility for the quality of the delivered technology
  • Leveraged the off-shore global development team to handle the rewrite while the on-shore Engagement Lead assured the project was on-time, on-budget and within scope
