Data Vault Readiness Assessment

As part of this assessment we would work with your team to determine the best approach to deliver business intelligence within your organization, utilizing the Data Vault methodology.

We recommend a Data Vault assessment as a first step on the roadmap to building out modern business intelligence architecture. The benefits of this assessment are to define an optimal approach, establish effective communication and identify issues and roadblocks to success.

The Data Vault assessment would include the following components (this is not a inclusive list):

  • Data Vault Training needs
  • Data sources
  • Data quality
  • Team / resource
  • Priorities
  • Data governance
  • Configuration management
  • Hardware / Software
  • Automated / code generation options
  • Project management
  • Agile / iterative development options

The deliverables of this assessment would include a baseline and analysis of the above components as well as recommendations and next steps.  This is a “must” first step in determining your training and implementation needs. We will work directly with Dan Linstedt to ensure proper alignment for determine the best training for your organization.

We estimate this Readiness Assessment at 1-3 days (est. $3,000) billed on a T&M basis.

Data Vault On-site Training

The author of the Data Vault approach is Dan Linstedt. Dan will teach these classes onsite at your facilities.

The following Data Vault training classes are available:

  • Data Vault ETL Implementation (1 day) – General best practices, templates & guidelines
  • Data Vault Modeling (1-2 days) – In depth, focused on the data modeling aspects
  • Data Vault Methodology & Modeling (2-4 days) – Full, well rounded class
  • Data Vault Fundamentals (1 day) – Modeling & methodology – introductory level
  • Data Vault ETL Implementation (1-2 days) – Informatica Focused/specific
  • Data Vault ETL Implementation (1 day) – SSIS / SQLServer specific

On-Site Training Pricing

On-site training prices depend on number of students and days. As a deliverable of the initial Readiness Assessment a formal training proposal will be delivered.

Data Vault Consulting

LÛCRUM is a full service-consulting firm that is experienced at delivering Data Vault solutions.

We have the ability to provide a project team or individual consultants to work with your organization to deliver your initial Data Vault project(s). We recommend leveraging LÛCRUM’s Data Vault consultants for your first Data Vault project to make sure you hit the ground running. With a solid foundation built upon training and experience your follow on projects will have a much higher likelihood of success.

A formalized statement of work will be provided upon defining the requirements of the project in more detail.
